Ford F-150 Wins Greener Choice Award

We all know that the Ford F-150 here in Jackson, OH is popular for its toughness and reliability, but did you also know it's considered a green car too because of its eco-friendliness? Well, it is, because the F-150 was recognized as an American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy (ACEEE) Greener Choice award winner.

F-150 vehicles with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost® V6 engine and start/stop technology earned the honor, and was the only pickup truck to do so. In total, the F-150 got a Green Score of 39, and placed 12th overall. It took into account the fuel economy of the EcoBoost® engine, which provides 22 miles per gallon combined, but also, its light but strong military-grade aluminum alloy frame that helps its efficiency while still leading the way in best-in-class payload and towing.

None of this should be a surprise, because here at Mark Porter Ford, we have many reasons why the F-150 stacks up well against the competition, especially if you look at our F-150 vs. the Chevy Silverado and RAM 1500 comparison page.
